Sheryl has been teaching mosaic classes for
over five years. All classes take place in her studio in the Northrup King
Building. Small classes ensure a relaxed, fun, no pressure atmosphere for
students to explore and develop their own individual creativity. Sheryl
can also teach classes at other locations or is available as a visiting
artist to schools or art centers.

Introduction To Mosaics Workshop
A complete overview of mosaics including hands-on experience as students create one-of-a-kind custom wall panels. Explore the wide variety of mosaic materials in this class - ceramic tile, stained glass, china, and found objects. Introduction to adhesives, sources for materials and substrates. All materials included but students are encouraged to bring treasures of their own.Work outside of class may be necessary.
$135 includes all materials

Let's Make Tile!
Introduction to Tile
An introduction to tile making for mosaics. Students will explore texture, shape, and glazing while making terra cotta tile suitable for interior or exterior applications. Students are encouraged to bring cookie cutters and unique textures. Students will finish class with 1-2 square feet of tile. Last class includes a basic introduction to tile adhesives and installation techniques including mesh mounting.
